Inspired by friends and legendary drummers like Steve Gadd, Akira Jimbo, and Simon Phillips, Peter dedicated himself to mastering his craft. Over the past three years, his hard work has paid off, with 88 songs composed and performances at prestigious events like the Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival (KKJF), Penang Jazz Festival, and Korea’s Jarasum International Jazz Festival. These performances are some of his most cherished career highlights.

Navigating the Ups and Downs

Peter’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. He credits his resilience to self-motivation, discipline, and a relentless pursuit of his goals. “Life is always full of challenges, but it’s our own self-motivation and discipline that keep us strong and moving forward,” he says.

Current Projects and Future Visions

Currently, Peter is working on Project40, which includes his 88-song composition, and creating music for computer games. As an innovator, he is constantly exploring new sounds and techniques to push the boundaries of drumming. Looking ahead, he envisions a future filled with fun, enjoyment, and continuous learning. He advises aspiring artists to “continue to learn, share, and keep a humble attitude” for a fulfilling music journey.
